Navigation Skills 101

Do you want to learn a new skill or brush up on your old Navigation skills then join us for our Navigation Skills 101.

The workshop will start at 8.30am with indoor lessons on how to read your map & compass until 12 Noon. A short break for lunch, followed by an afternoon of practical map reading skills over a short course.

This is a basic "Learn to read a map & use a compass" tutorial.

We're limiting it to 20 people, you can enter in pairs or else we will pair you up with another person on the day. If you're a couple, you may share a map. We would prefer you have one map each but everybody needs at least to have their own compass.

Free Tea & Coffee throughout the mornings tutorial, with a cuppa or two after the practical session.. (Lunch is not provided)

Make sure you bring suitable clothing for the afternoon in the Surrey Hills.

OS map Explorer 146 (We recommend the weatherproof version)

Notepad & pen for taking notes.

There will be a limited number of maps & compasses for sale on the day.
